Heights Lights
A stone and cedar-shake estate at night, every roofline traced in warm white C9 bulbs, hedges lit and the driveway lined with ground stakes

Be the house they slow down for.

We design it, hang it, fix it, take it down, and store it. You approve one picture of your own home. That's your whole job.

No obligation. Your actual house, not a sample.

The whole idea

Your home, the way you picture it every December.

Without a single one of the parts that make it a chore.

How it works

Three steps. Only one is yours.

Tell us the address. We build the plan around your house, your taste, and how you want it to read from the street.

01

We photograph and design

We come to the house, photograph it, and design to the exact rooflines. You get a picture of your own home, lit, before you've spent anything.

02

You approve it

Change the color. Add the trees. Or pass — the picture is yours either way. When you say yes, your date is locked and the lights are cut to fit.

03

We handle the season

Up before Thanksgiving. Fixed within 48 hours if anything blinks. Down in January and into our warehouse. Next year is one text.

Why the lights stay ours

Year one buys the display. Every year after, it just comes back.

Most companies sell you the strands. From that day on, every failed bulb, faded run, and tangled tote is yours to deal with.

We don't sell lights. Yours are cut to your rooflines and they stay ours — so we're the ones who test them, replace them as they age, and keep them between seasons. You get the display. We get the maintenance.

Next year is a text. We confirm your date, the same display goes back up, and the house looks exactly the way the neighbors remember it.

One price. Everything included.

You're paying for a lit home. Not a box of equipment.

Most quotes stop at installation. Ours covers the whole season — from the first design to the last labeled box leaving your driveway. There is no second invoice in January.

Custom design

A mockup of your actual home, to its exact rooflines, before you commit to anything. Not a brochure of somebody else's house.

Commercial-grade lights

New C9 LEDs cut to the lines of your roof. Bright, uniform, and built for Illinois winters. Never retail strands.

Professional installation

A uniformed, insured crew. Roof-safe clips — no nails, screws, or staples — no visible cords, and nothing left in your driveway.

48-hour repairs

A bulb goes dark, you text us. Repaired within 48 hours, free, as often as it happens. You never diagnose anything.

Takedown & storage

January takedown, everything labeled to your address and kept in our climate-controlled facility until next season.

One-text return

Next season, we text you a date. You say yes. The same display goes back up on the same house.

The lights are ours. The compliments are yours.

Choose your look

Four looks. One of them is yours.

Every design starts with the bulb color. Tap through to see how each one reads from the street, then tell us which you're leaning toward and we'll build your mockup around it.

A brick colonial at night with warm white C9 bulbs along every roofline and dormer, columns and shrubs wrapped in matching mini lights A stone ranch at night outlined in cool bright white C9 bulbs with a long lit hedge across the front A brick two-story with alternating red and white C9 bulbs on the rooflines and red and white stakes lining the front walk A white farmhouse colonial with classic multicolor C9 bulbs on the rooflines and multicolor wraps on the portico columns

Selected work

Judged by the people who drive past it every night.

Real client homes. Every one started as a mockup the homeowner approved before we hung a single bulb.

We love the beautiful Christmas light installed by Heights Lights! They installed them according to a mock up photo of our home. The installer came out within a week’s time. Great communication as well.

Investment

One season. One number.

Most Heights Lights homes invest $1,600–$2,400 for the season. That number covers design, the lights, installation, every service call, takedown, and storage. Projects begin at $1,200.

Classic

The starting point

Your primary rooflines and peaks in clean C9 lines. Restrained, precise, and the first thing every passing car registers.

Starts at $1,200

Where most homes land

Signature

The finished look

Rooflines plus wrapped trees, lit shrubs, columns, and a defined entry. The one people describe as "done right."

Typically $1,600–$2,400

Estate

The whole composition

Rooflines, landscape, walkway and driveway stakes, and grounds — designed as one piece, not assembled in parts.

Priced by design

Every tier includes design, lights, installation, in-season repairs, January takedown, and off-site storage.

Why it costs what it costs

Commercial-grade C9s cut to your home instead of stretched to fit it. A crew that's insured on your roof. A company that answers the text when a bulb goes dark in December. And a design you approved before anyone climbed a ladder.

The cheaper quote leaves at least one of those out. You usually find out which one in December.

Questions

What homeowners ask before they book.

Is it going to look overdone?

Not if we're designing it. We fit the lights to the architecture — the rooflines, peaks, and entry that already define your house — and you see the finished design on a photo of your own home before anything goes up. Add to it or pare it back from there.

Do I own the lights?

No, and that's the point. Because the lights stay ours, they're our responsibility — testing, replacing aging strands, keeping them between seasons. You never buy replacements and never manage a thing. You're paying for a lit home, not equipment.

What happens next year?

We text you a date. You say yes. The same display goes back up on the same house, maintained through the season and taken down in January the same way. Nothing to re-explain, nothing to re-design.

What if a bulb goes out?

Text us. We fix it within 48 hours, free, as many times as it happens. You will never be asked to diagnose anything or check a connection.

Will this damage my roof or gutters?

No. We use commercial clips made for shingles, gutters, and fascia. No nails, screws, staples, or adhesive anywhere on your home, and every clip comes off in January without a mark.

When do you take them down?

January, on a window we confirm with you in advance. You don't need to be home. You'll usually just notice one afternoon that it's back to normal.

How early should I book?

Installs run October 1 through December 20, scheduled in the order requests arrive. The two weeks before Thanksgiving fill first, so an early mockup request gets the best choice of dates.
